Shares of PNB Housing Finance rose more than 10% to an intra-day high of Rs 894 from its previous close of Rs 810.90. The surge in the stock price came after a large deal of 14.23 million shares took place during the morning trading hours on BSE on August 21. 

However, the buyers and sellers of the deal were not identified. However, General Atlantic Singapore Fund FII Pte Ltd was to offload a 5.1% equity stake in the company via a block deal, according to media reports.

The stock of PNB Housing Finance has risen 0.88% in the last four trading sessions, taking yesterday’s closing price. The stock of the housing finance company gave a return of 2.4% in the last one month and 12% in the last six months. The stock has given a return of 32% in the past year and a bit over 63% in the last five years.

The benchmark index, Nifty 50, has risen 2.24% in the last four trading sessions. It gave a return of 0.85% in the last month. It has raised investors’ wealth by more than 27% in the past year. It has increased by over 128% in the last five years.
